How it started with us….
Our journey began in January 2020, at a time when I was re-discovering my love for all things creative. Facing challenges with my mental health, I realised I needed to focus on myself to improve my well-being and reduce anxiety. And that’s how it all began: It Starts With You.
And it truly did start with me. With more time on my hands and space to prioritise my needs, I reconnected with my creativity—something I’d loved but had lost over the years. I quickly found that creativity is not just a pastime but also incredibly therapeutic. It provided an outlet and a much-needed distraction from intrusive thoughts. (If you’re considering trying it yourself, I can’t recommend it enough!)
I’ve always been drawn to motivational quotes, especially during tough times. You’d often find me scrolling through Pinterest, seeking inspiring words that reassured me I wasn’t alone in my feelings and that I am good enough. That’s when I started bullet journaling, combining those uplifting quotes with simple sketches and drawings. It was a small but powerful way to bring positivity into my daily life.

From there, the idea of sharing this creative outlet with others took shape. I realised that others might also need a boost—some words of wisdom or a little reminder of hope on their journey. So, I began turning my designs into digital art prints. Learning Photoshop along the way, I created a collection of empowering prints designed to bring comfort, inspiration, and positivity to anyone who needs it.
Over time, my love for creativity and personal expression expanded our offerings. We broadened our niche to include earrings and macramé pieces, further embracing the joy of handmade artistry. And as a proud Swiftie, my love for Taylor Swift’s music and lyrics often inspires my work. Her words resonate deeply and remind me—and so many others—to find strength in vulnerability, beauty in storytelling, and power in self-expression.
